Make a filling salad to get veggie servings with lunch

For week one (the turbo 10 plan) I added some more foods. Folks with over 100lbs to lose should probably have more daily calories…  The scale was down over 6lbs for the week.

To start the regular NS Men’s meal plan, I grocery shopped for the following

Additions as mentioned on the Entree’s preparation instructions

  • half a gallon of skim milk for cereal entrees, etc.
  • 1 package of Pepperidge Farms whole wheat sandwich thin rounds for any entrees requiring adding a “roll”

Vegetable servings

  • Bagged fresh Salad vegetables to go with my lunches
  • Bagged fresh cauliflower, broccoli, and baby carrot mix
  • 1 pint of cherry or grape tomatoes
  • bottles of fat-free salad dressings as “extras”
  • Frozen “Italian style” vegetables
  • Frozen “California style” vegetables

Smart carb servings

  • fresh bananas, apples, oranges
  • unsweetened applesauce cups
  • fruit in juice cups
  • Triscuit “hint of salt” crackers
  • brown rice
  • “plain” oatmeal

Power fuel servings

  • Activia Greek yogurt cups
  • sting cheese sticks
  • pre-cooked and frozen chicken strips
  • pre-packaged roasted chicken deli meat
  • canned tuna in water
  • Gortons frozen fish fillets
  • pre-cooked turkey sausage (links)
  • natural peanut butter (creamy)
